The Problem
Raising funding is hard. Your tech shouldn't be the reason you fail.
Investors don't just back ideas, they back execution, and whether you're ready or not, your technology will be scutinised.
Most founders don't lose deals because of their idea, they lose because investors uncover risks they didn't know existed. It isn't just about code, technical due diligence is about confidence, and once doubt creeps in, it's very hard to recover. The problem is, you've been so busy building something great that:
- You don't know what they'll ask
- You don't know where your risks are
- You don't have time or budget for a full consultancy engagement
That's the problem we try to address for you.
What You Get
A clear, actionable view of your technical risk.
The result is a concise, high level overview of your code, technology stack and engineering operations with a clear action plan of what key things to focus on prior to due diligence. You'll get:
- Executive summary - your overall technical and operational position, in plain English
- Top 3 risks - what matters most right now
- Scalability assessment - where things may break as you grow
- Codebase & architecture review - a high level summary of code quality, patterns, practices, and architectural integrity.
- Investor questions - what you will be asked
- 30-day action plan - what to fix first
No jargon, no ceremony, no 40-page reports, just clarity.
How It Works
Simple, fast, and focused
The process is quite straightforward and requires only a small amount of time from you and your team. It begins with you instructing us to perform an audit and then:
- Discovery call - a 1-2 hour guided discovery call where I will ask a series of questions to understand as much as possible about your solution, its purpose, market goals, codebase, architecture and your engineering operations.
- Code review - you share access to your codebase for review I put forward additional clarification questions.
- Review and analysis - I assess findings to write up the assessment document described above.
- Delivery call - you receive your audit document and we walk through it together.
Why Me?
Nobody likes to blow their own trumpet, but...
I've spent 30 years building software products, including spending ~15 years building a successful SaaS platform, culminating in it's successful acquisition.
I've been where you are - I've done several rounds of due diligence during early raises, and through 6 months of intense due diligence during acquisition. I know:
- What investors are looking for
- What they worry about
- What actually matters (and what doesn't)
Who It's For
You want clarity, fast
This service is aimed at those with a working product and small team who are raising (or thinking about raising) and want to avoid being caught off guard during due-diligence. You need to understand where your key risks are and what you can do about them, you want clarity fast, not a long term engagement.
This is designed not to be just a useful review, but to bring you confidence and readiness before a high stakes event - raising.
Who It's Not For
It could be too early.
This however is not a service for you if:
- You're still at idea stage
- You don't yet have a working product
- You're looking for a full technical rebuild or long-term engagement
